On April 20, 2016, Mr. Herminio Lo’pez Di’az, served as Cuba’s Ambassador to Vietnam, and the staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam had a meeting with the board of directors of TCl Hospital.
TCI Hospital hoped to receive medical consultation and support from Cuba and continue to promote the ties in the relationship and traditions between Vietnam and Cuba.
Cuba has become internationally recognized for its achievements in the field of health care. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), its healthcare system is an example for all countries of the world due to its excellence and efficiency. The island country has always been listed as one of the countries with the longest life expectancy in Latin America, which is currently 78 years old.
Cuba has a history of medical internationalism, a program established to send Cuban medical personnel overseas, particularly in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. The program includes nearly 39,000 people and about 15,000 doctors. The country has been providing 40 free medical support programs internationally.
This meeting of the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam and TCI Hospital held great promises of driving opportunities in the healthcare sector.
