Professional Background
With over 30 years of extensive experience and deep expertise in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy, combined with outstanding management skills, Associate Professor, Ph.D. Khien Van Vu has established himself as a leading expert and key figure in the field in Vietnam.
He has held prominent leadership positions, including:
– Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
– General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology
– President of the Northern Vietnam Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
– Former Head of the Department of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Former Deputy Director at the Institute of – Gastrointestinal Diseases, 108 Military Central Hospital
Beyond his clinical expertise, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khien has been deeply involved in research and has significantly contributed to advancing medical knowledge both nationally and internationally.
He has published 86 scientific papers, including 78 articles in Vietnamese journals and 8 articles in international English-language journals. Additionally, he has led multiple research projects at institutional, ministerial, municipal, and national levels. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Ho Chi Minh Award for Science and Technology in 2017.
